The Lord in the Decades
The Lord is in the decades.
We want Him in the moment, and He is in the moment. Always present. Always near.
He also often works in the decades.
In His timing, not ours.
Erin worked in the ICU a decade ago at a local hospital.
There, she met and became friends with Alex.
Alex and Erin stayed connected throughout the years.

Turns out, Alex and Erin have identical breast cancers. Same staging, similar size, same ER/PR/HER2 Positive. Alex is passionate about sharing her journey, and helping others through all the decisions and complications and confusion.
It’s as if the Lord planted Alex in our lives over a decade ago.
And He did.
A few years ago, we had an idea to start a neighborhood supper club. So a few texts and one GroupMe later, the supper club was born with ten ladies to create community and connection and friendship among those closest to us, neighbors.
And now, a few years later, a few dinners later, the group is more a connection of neighborhood Moms navigating life together through advice (and a little bit of drama) but mostly kindness and love for those doing life around us.

And yes. It is amazing.
A few months ago, I was introduced to Matt and his wife Lindsey through work. They were looking for help marketing and setting up a new venture, The Spa by Pure, and became a client of one of our companies (www.getthelab.com).
At the same time, I was coaching flag football and their son Jack was on our team. Another small but meaningful connection.
We had no idea Lindsey had gone through a similar journey as us and had incredible results using the Penguin Cold Caps with team #SavetheHAIR.
Yesterday, they led a cold cap training at our home.
The Lord planted them in our lives.
He works in the decades, in the years, in the months, and in the moments if we stop to only notice all the good things He has planted over time.
Because He’s that good.
