I Am The Storm

We have friends worried we won't take the western medicine approach.

And they should be worried.

And I love that we have friends who care enough to worry for us. I honestly do.

And we hate the western medicine approach.

The poison and cutting and chemo and hormone blockers and endless side effects.

And we are incredibly grateful for the western medicine approach.

Increased life expectancy, targeted HER2 therapies, a continual push to not just being cancer free, but never getting it again.

And so we advocate for ourselves, and teach ourselves, and read and follow all the Reddit threads and watch every YouTube video and learn and educate and make the best decision we can.

We have other friends worried we won't ask for help when we need it.

And they should be worried.

Again, I love friends who know us enough to point out our weak areas. And asking for help is one of them.

We love helping others!

We love being the steady, consistent, stable waters for others when storms come. And they do come.

And now ours is here.

I bought a piece of art for our friends when they had one of these storms.

They mailed it back to us today.
